About the Philippine Chemistry Congress (PCC)

  • The Premier Gathering of Chemical Scientists in the Philippines First held in 1984, the Philippine Chemistry Congress (PCC) is the largest annual gathering of chemists, chemical engineers, educators, and researchers in the Philippines. Organized under the auspices of the Philippine Federation of Chemistry Societies (PFCS), the 41st PCC (2027) is spearheaded by its main organizer, the Kapisanang Kimika ng Pilipinas (KKP). In a historic milestone for the national scientific community, the 41st PCC will be held in tandem with two major international gatherings: the Asian Conference on Coordination Chemistry (ACCC) and the International Conference on Chemistry (ICC).

PCC provides an interdisciplinary platform addressing vital tracks across the chemical sciences, featuring key focal areas including:

    • Nanoscience and Nanotechnology: Nanomaterials synthesis, characterization, nano-biotechnology, and functional nanodevices.
    • Materials Science: Advanced polymers, smart materials, energy storage/conversion systems, biomaterials, and solid-state chemistry.
    • Inorganic Chemistry & Related Disciplines: Coordination complexes, main group chemistry, organometallics, bioinorganic systems, molecular catalysis, and solid-state inorganic materials.
    • Chemical Education: Pedagogy innovations, digital/AI-integrated learning tools, laboratory safety curricula, curriculum modernization, and green chemistry integration in education.

Designed to foster professional growth, the congress offers accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units for registered chemists, chemical technicians, and science educators—ensuring delegates advance both their scientific knowledge and regulatory practice credentials.
  • About the Asian Conference on Coordination Chemistry (ACCC)
  • Advancing Regional Excellence in Inorganic & Metal-Centric Science The Asian Conference on Coordination Chemistry (ACCC) is the premier regional conference series dedicated to inorganic and coordination chemistry across Asia and the global scientific community. Established in 2007 in Okazaki, Japan, the biennial conference brings together world-renowned inorganic chemists, materials scientists, and early-career researchers to share breakthrough discoveries in organometallic synthesis, bioinorganic systems, molecular catalysis, and functional framework materials (MOFs/COFs).
  • Held in Tandem with the 41st PCC and ICC: Co-locating ACCC alongside the Philippine Chemistry Congress and the ICC offers delegates a unique, concentrated exposure to Asia’s rapidly growing inorganic chemistry ecosystem. This joint setting bridges specialized coordination chemistry research—such as metal-complex catalysts and quantum materials—directly with local industrial needs and cross-disciplinary applications, enabling attendees to establish strategic regional partnerships while exploring real-world implementations.
  • About the International Conference on Chemistry (ICC)
  • Bridging Boundaries for Global Chemical Innovation The International Conference on Chemistry (ICC) is a global scientific forum aimed at advancing frontier research across foundational and applied chemistry. Spanning organic synthesis, physical chemistry, analytical methods, computational chemistry, and sustainable green initiatives, the ICC brings together academic leaders, industrial experts, and young researchers from around the world to address global challenges in energy, health, environmental security, and smart technology.
  • Held in Tandem with the 41st PCC and ACCC: By running concurrently with the 41st PCC and ACCC, the ICC provides an unparalleled international perspective to the combined assembly. This unified structure creates a global-meets-local bridge: international delegates gain direct access to the rich research talent and emerging scientific market of the Philippines and Southeast Asia, while local delegates connect with global networks, high-impact journals, and multinational research consortia in a single venue.
  • About Kapisanang Kimika ng Pilipinas (KKP)
  • Empowering Philippine Chemical Sciences Since 1937 Founded in 1937, Kapisanang Kimika ng Pilipinas (KKP)—the Chemical Society of the Philippines—is one of the country's oldest and most prestigious professional scientific organizations. Operating under the umbrella of the Philippine Federation of Chemistry Societies (PFCS), KKP is dedicated to advancing chemistry as a primary driver of national development, scientific innovation, and public safety.

As the main organizer of the 41st Philippine Chemistry Congress (2027), KKP leads the effort to host a world-class tri-conference alongside ACCC and ICC. Uniting professionals from academia, government laboratories, industrial enterprises, and research institutes, KKP actively elevates chemical education, supports professional development, and champions research that improves the quality of life for all.
